Sedona is a wonderful destination for any elopement or wedding. L’auberge de Sedona Resort offers beautiful red rock views and event spaces for a variety of wedding sizes. Justin and Lindsey planned their destination Sedona Micro Wedding at L’auberge de Sedona in from New York. With family in Arizona, and how much they love hiking, Sedona was the perfect destination choice for them.
Within Arizona, Sedona is a beautiful destination with red rock views, delicious food, so many outdoor recreation options and more! For elopement and wedding locations – there is something for everyone in Sedona from resorts to intimate vistas.
Sedona is near and dear to my heart and I have spent many years living in the area seasonally. (My husband and I are snow birds.) Many months have been spent in Sedona exploring and enjoying the area and looking forward to many more. So when Lindsey and Justin reached out about their Sedona micro wedding, I was so glad I was available for their day!
Justin and Lindsey’s incredible Sedona micro wedding day was held at the L’auberge de Sedona Resort located on the north end of Sedona, Arizona. This venue is the perfect place for a romantic and adventurous getaway. They have various venue options within their grounds that offer amazing, panoramic views of Red Rock, elegant creekside garden and the garden terrace where this wedding took place primarily. (See their venue options HERE.) The L’auberge de Sedona also includes amenities like gourmet dinner menus, a team to help you with designing your wedding day, and much more.
On their day, Justin and Lindsey had free reign of the venue and we spent time creekside for couples photos pre-ceremony as well as enjoyed the Vista Overlook for sunset and that red rock glow. Their ceremony was in the Garden Terrace and the evening ended in the Garden Ballroom where the group danced well into the night. This Sedona venue will truly take your breath away and is a beautiful choice in Sedona!
Justin and Lindsey’s Sedona micro wedding was magical if I do say so myself. They got ready in the hotel with loved ones. When planning their day, they really wanted an opportunity to get out in the red rocks themselves which I am a big fan of. To do this, we incorporated an offsite first look at a nearby quiet hiking trail I had scouted and knew would be convenient to their location.
Justin’s brother drove him there while Lindsey and I made our way there shortly after. We had the trail practically to ourselves while they shared a first look among the red rock and we got to enjoy the sights and do a short amount of hiking on their day. Hiking has always been something they love doing together so this time together was really special to them.
After their offsite first look, we made our way back to L’auberge de Sedona for some couples photos along Oak Creek. When we were done enjoying this area, it was time to prepare for their ceremony at the Garden Terrace. Many of their guests had flown in from various areas of the US to witness this beautiful ceremony with views of the red rocks in the background. It was a beautiful blue sky November day in Arizona for this celebration.
After some group photos with the newlyweds, all enjoyed cocktail hour on the Garden Terrace. We snuck away for a short bit for some sunset photos at their vista overlook venue space before returning to cocktail hour.
This was such a wonderful evening with live music, wonderful company and delicious food by the kitchen at L’auberge de Sedona. The string lights created a beautiful ambience as cocktail hour turned to dinner. The newlyweds included cake cutting, and first dances. Their own first dance was a sparkler first dance instead of doing a sendoff as everyone was lodging onsite.
As they moved into the ballroom to end the evening, the groom surprised his bride with a slideshow of their love story to include their previous doggo who unfortunately was not part of their day, but was very much the highlight of the slideshow. The evening ended with open dancing in the ballroom where they continued to enjoy their evening, celebrating this wonderful day together with loved ones.
L’auberge de Sedona is a wonderful venue if considering for your own elopement or wedding. For another beautiful Sedona venue, check out Bobby + Leah’s Enchantment Resort Sedona Micro Wedding!
