Having an Engagement Session is such a great way for me to get to know you prior to your wedding day. Also, not sure about who would be the best fit for your wedding day? An Engagement Photo Session can be a great way to ‘try out’ a photographer prior to booking them for your full wedding day. No matter the reason, engagement sessions are so fun and something I highly recommend! Especially if you are nervous about being in front of the camera on your day! This might seem counter-intuitive but.. trust me, it will help!
Engagement and Couple’s sessions are so fun! This beautiful engagement session took place on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge with beautiful Columbia River views as the evening turned to golden hour. These two were so much fun and were chatting all things from Kevin’s firefighting to telling Beverly about Thredup (sorry Kevin..) and our love of thrifting. Their smiles and laughter were so contagious and I am so excited for their August 2021 wedding day! (Check out their Wedding Day Blog HERE)
The Location
At this Colombia River George engagement, we enjoyed beautiful scenery including the infamous gorge, the Columbia River, grassy fields and that epic glow. This exact location is essentially a photographer’s dream. The light spills across this multi-layered plateau beautifully. with basalt cliffs, trees, grassy fields, river views, and an easy walk.. I love returning to this location multiple times throughout the year. It can be windy, but oh so beautiful!
The Session
Kevin & Beverly met me in the parking lot where we made sure all items needed were packed well before we started walking out on the peninsula. Their one hour session had us walking around the peninsula from one area to the next chasing the light and those gorgeous views, all the while chatting about all things including how their wedding planning was coming along. From shady protected areas, to windy wide open spaces, it was a wonderful way to spend a September day in the Columbia River Gorge.

The gorge is so beautiful, perfect for engagement photos. I think the first photos are my favorite, the details and textures in the big rock wall are absolutely stunning!
