The Pacific Northwest is home to many beautiful forests and places to elope. In Portland, Oregon you don’t have to leave the city to find a forest elopement location. This Hoyt Arboretum boho forest elopement in Portland Oregon is a beautiful example of what is possible in the Pacific Northwest. Hoyt Arboretum is a popular location for small weddings and elopements with low permit prices. While this is an active public park and you will still be sharing the space with others, it’s a beautiful forest and natural setting if dreaming of a convenient forest elopement. Check out more info on the Redwood Deck at Hoyt Arboretum HERE.
This boho forest elopement took place at The Hoyt Arboretum in Portland Oregon. It is a beautiful natural oasis in the heart of the city. Situated on 189 acres of land, the arboretum is filled with a variety of trees, plants, and wildlife. It is the perfect place for a nature-filled elopement, and Zach and Kaleseyas chose the arboretum as the setting for their special day. As they exchanged vows beneath a canopy of trees, the beauty, and tranquility of the arboretum made for a truly romantic and unforgettable experience. The lush green foliage and wooded pathways provided a perfect backdrop for the happy couple to exchange their vows.
Zach and Kaleseya’s day began with some cozy time at their Airbnb. Choosing to spend their whole day together was so great! It meant they could share breakfast, be cozy together, write their vows and then get ready together. While eloping can mean some guests are included, for these two it was just them. This allowed for a laid back and relaxed day together from start to finish which was magical.
Also if looking for an Airbnb in Portland for your own prep, check this location out: The Sneakaway! This is a small space but so cute! At the time of this event in 2022, the owner was allowing event prep for two and photography to take place onsite but as with any home rental, always communicate your intentions clearly prior to booking.
When ready, we departed for Hoyt Arboretum and the Redwood Deck for their elopement. Choosing a weekday is always recommended at Hoyt Arboretum and timing for your ceremony will be based on your permit as both morning and afternoon permits are available each day. Zach and Kaleseya’s day was overcast but dry and relatively quiet which was great! This allowed for some privacy during their vows before exploring the arboretum.
