The Washington Coast is one of the many amazing features of Washington State. Not only does Washington have beautiful Mountains and forests, but it also has beaches along the Pacific ocean with breathtaking views. Being that Will and Amanda are new Washingtonians originally from Florida, it was only fitting that we took a trip to the Washington Coast for their engagement session at the beach.

The Location

Will and Amanda have a lifelong love of the ocean and time on the beach. Being new to the Pacific Northwest (PNW) they wanted their engagement photos to fully encompass their love for both the ocean and the rugged PNW that is so different from their origins in Florida. Will grew up sailing and they met while on the swim team so needless to say that the water is an important thing to not only them as individuals, but also as a couple. It was so special to honor this part of their story at their session.

The Session

This session included two outfits in one location which is my standard for a one hour session. Their sweet little only child, fur baby Raisin (Isn’t that the most darling name?), came along for the journey as we enjoyed the beach. As with many areas of the West Coast, the forest also reaches the coast so we split time between the beach and the forest.

Bambi

One of the perks of wandering a large area in the PNW is stumbling across wildlife. On this night we stumbled upon “Bambi” and his family while on their evening stroll. We, of course, tried our best to not interrupt or disturb them as we went back down the trail towards the beach.

Will and Amanda are such an incredibly sweet couple and it was such an honor to capture this small piece of their love story on such a beautiful evening while wandering the forest and running along the beaches of the Washington Coast.
